I am a big fan of community spirit. We were lucky enough to see a festive parade where different streets followed the theme of ‘games’ and dressed up in costumes and made their cars into ‘floats’ to match their games of choice. It was so much fun to spend time with family enjoying the holiday weekend. I made the babies matching outfits for the occasion. I did a tutorial on how to make the matching t-shirts if you would like to make some using any design you like.
Getting the babies to pose is not easy these days. This was our best shot…
In the parade, one street created a float of Angry Birds
while another made a cute Candy Land float.
Capri and Grayson watched with interest
as Scrabble was portrayed with giant letters.
Five girls did a clever hula hoop interpretation of the Olympic rings
which were followed by colorful international flags.
Then the Queen presided over the medal ceremony.
After the parade, we attempted and failed to get another posed shot of the babies.
Xayden did not mind being photographed
nor did Grayson, as long as they were free to move.
It was a fun 4th of July. After a busy day with the babies, we were all tired, but happy. We listened to fireworks explode in the distance as we drifted off to sleep. I hope you enjoyed a wonderful weekend. I would love to hear your stories and thoughts. As always, comments are welcome.
