We took our first vacation with the babies outside of going to see my parents at their house. We went to my parents’ house and then off to a resort in the mountains with my parents for a week. Our first leg of the trip involved about a six hour drive. In the past, we would do this at 4 a.m. and the babies slept most of the way. This time, we did not leave until 6 a.m. and the babies needed to get out of the car and stretch their legs along the way. We stopped at a playground to break up the trip.,
When we got closer to the playground, we realized that a train for children ran through the playground. I am not sure why the tracks are so close to the play equipment. It would not matter for older children who would know to get out of the way, but for our toddlers, we decided to play it safe and kept them mostly on the swings. They did not mind the containment one bit. All four of them think swings are a great way to enjoy the day. Greg bought them matching comfy outfits for travel in the boys’ section of Target. We put a headband on Capri to make her gender apparent as we always get questions about how many girls and boys we have.
