“Kids say the darndest things.” We are often amused by the things that come out of the Sugar Snaps’ mouths. I’m starting to write them down. Every now and then, I will share their latest musings.
Here are a few things they said recently:
- Capri spied ‘Uncle Sam’ on the lawn on a neighbor’s house when we visited my parents. “Look, it’s Santa Claus,” she exclaimed and ran full speed ahead to see him. We did not tell her otherwise.
- We have been working on reducing whining in our home. Our catch phrase is, “Nobody likes whining. Nobody.” So, one day Grayson, whined, “Mama, I can’t stop whiiiiiiiiining!”
- Xayden regulary says, “Mama, you are my (singsongy voice) cuuuuddle bug!”
- Ryder checked my heart this week because he knew I had a heart procedure (transesophogeal echocardiogram) I asked him how my heart was doing. Looking concerned, he said, “Mama, it’s not doing right.”
Have your children, grandchildren or students said funny things? I’d love it if you’d share some in the comments!
