Grandma and Grandpa gave the babies a special after dinner treat. I had never seen such tiny ice cream cones. They are perfect for toddlers or anyone who wants a little taste of decadence. While the babies are all the same age, they have such different personalities and approaches to things. It was fun for us to watch how each one responded to the mini ice cream cones.
Ryder started with a tentative taste
while Xayden held nothing back.
Capri savored it slowly
while Grayson’s ice cream disappeared in record speed.
The babies do not have a lot of sugar in their diet and generally do not have any right before bed. The ice cream gave them a colosal burst of energy. Grandpa entertained Ryder and Xayden after dessert.
They found Grandpa to be hilarious.
It took a while to get the babies settled down after their sugar high. The fun with ice cream was worth the mayhem that ensued afterwards. Next time, they will have this treat earlier in the day. What desserts does your family enjoy? I would love to hear your stories and ideas. As always, comments are welcome.
I love the size of those cones and watching kids have their first foodie experiences. Our first sugar high came from undiluted orange juice and it was mind blowing. I'm talking hysterical giggling and non-stop activity
Hi Olusola.
Your orange juice story made me smile. I didn't realize they could get the sugar high from the natural sugar in juice.
I can relate to the giggling. Grandpa was doing a stand-up routine to their fits of giggles. Have a great holiday weekend. I look forward to seeing what you link up on Multiples Monday.

your kids are really cute and i enjoy reading your posts. My twins accidentally got hold of a chocolate one day and they were so high on engergy after wards, it was difficult to put them to sleep!! by the way, theresa, what is the age of your babies? because i would love to do some of the art projects that you have mentioned on your blog but i feel my babies are too young to do these projects 🙁 (they just turned 1 last week) thanks in advance!!
Thank you. The babies are 18 months. The pudding party and painting in a bag could both be done at age one. As long as they can sit up in a baby seat, they should be able to enjoy them. Thanks for reading. I would love to keep hearing from you about how your twins are doing. Enjoy your weekend.
