Greg offered to watch the Sugar Snaps while I took a bath. I took full advantage and poured in a generous amount of rose scented bubble bath solution. Baths and showers are usually utilitarian for me, something I do quickly with a listening ear out to make sure that the Sugar Snaps are all right. This was a rare occasion where I decided to have a luxurious bath knowing they were fine. I slipped into the bath which was billowing with puffs of snow white bubbles. As I lay in the bath, I thought that the bubbles reminded me of a snowman and that the Sugar Snaps would love to have a snowman bath. I could not shut off thoughts of them, even during my bubble bath! It reminded me of our rare date nights when we talked about the cute things they said and did lately. They are always on our minds and while there is a part of me that was bemused that I could not take a bath without thinking of ways to make their next bath more fun, the reality is they are a huge part of our lives and we are grateful for that.
Snowman Bubble Bath
You will need:
- Bubble bath mix
- Craft Foam cut into snowman shapes (carrot nose, mouth, buttons, mittens)
- Pair of google Eyes and 2 circular pieces cut slightly smaller than google eyes to place underneath each eye
I cut out a carrot nose, mouth, buttons and mittens from craft foam. I used a generous amount of bubble bath mix to produce a large quantity of bubbles.
I used a piece of craft foam to help me form the snowman shape without bursting the bubbles. I placed the features on the snowman including the pair of google eyes. Within seconds, the google eyes sunk! The snowman looked really cute for a few seconds. I reasoned that I could simply use craft foam eyes which float, but I didn’t think it would be as cute. There is something about google eyes that really adds personality. So, I cut two circles slightly smaller than the google eyes and placed them underneath. The Google eyes floated just fine on their craft foam ‘rafts.’ The Sugar Snaps were excited to see a snowman smiling at them from the bath tub. The google eyes fell off of their rafts and sunk again the minute they got in, but they did not mind at all. They simply fished them out and played with them along with the other snowman parts.
Do you find yourself thinking about your children no matter where you are? Have you discussed your kids on a date night? What fun bath ideas have you tried with your little ones? I’d love to hear from you. As always, your comments are welcome and appreciated.

Love this idea!! I'm definitely doing this. Form pieces will stick to the sides of the tub too, so the kids can play with them that way.
PS. Pinned!
Thank you for pinning this Tricia!
Yes, our kids love to stick the foam pieces to the sides of the tub too. Craft foam is a lot of fun in the bath.

Wow! Bubble art! I do think about my daughter all the time but I would not have thought that. So creative.
Thank you Shelah.
It is funny how most of us think of our kids a lot during the day and night (even when doing other things).

So cute! I love themed baths and so do my kids. It is so hard not to think and talk about your kids…even on date night.
Hi Melissa Matters.
Thank you. I knew we must not be the only parents who do that. Good to know we're not alone. I agree that theme baths add to the fun.

This is such a fun idea! I have to try it with my kids, they would go nuts! And yes, by myself or on date nights with my husband, the kids always manage to sneak their way in-because they are so freaking cute!
This is so so cute!!! And yes, I'm like you and there are no moments my brain is child free. I love this! How fun for the winter…
Hi Tarynn.
Thank you. It is nice to know I'm not alone in thinking about them a lot! And yes, the cute things they say and do stick in my mind too.
