We knew spring had officially sprung when we looked outside our door and saw baby doves nestled in a hanging planter.
It was the kind of day where the marine layer never really burns off. The grey sky beckoned us to the Ventura Harbor. There is something mystical about boats on an overcast day. If you haven’t visited the Ventura Harbor area, I would recommend it. It is fun for kids to look at all the boats and there are plenty of restaurants and an ice cream shop to get a bite to eat. Across the street, is the beach where you can go on a family picnic, look at the waves and build sand castles.
Capri and Ryder both cried, “This!,” as they pointed in different directions.
They reminded us of the magic of lush green grass.
Xayden rode a dolphin
while Capri played a Mermaid.
Ryder enjoyed his Seaweed hair
as Grayson embarked on an underwater adventure.
A distant pile of logs barked, and gave away the Harbor Seals.
The babies loved to watch the colorful windmills
as they twirled in the sea breeze.
We topped off our day admiring the open ocean.
What a rejuvenating way to begin spring. There is nothing like the sea and the magic of babies to remind us to relax and enjoy all that life has to offer. I hope you have been having a good start to the new season.
