I enjoy being part of the Playful Preschool team which is organized by Amanda Boyarshinov, a kindergarten teacher, now home sharing her talents with her own children and with all of us through The Educators’ Spin On It. She has co-authored several e-books with Jamie Hand which teach STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math) activities for children. I am excited to share the news about their wonderful educational ebooks with you. Their latest book teaches STEAM skills with a Christmas theme.
I loved the variety of activities in the book using supplies I already have at home. Often times, the supplies can be adapted if you don’t have them. For example, she uses scrapbook paper and it would be easy to substitute (and recycle) wrapping paper which most of us have on hand at this time of year. We tried out one of Amanda’s learning activities and look forward to trying out more.
