Wakefield Court-Holiday Lights Worth the Drive in Southern CA

We love to walk around our own neighborhood and look at holiday lights. We also find it worth the drive to look at holiday lights in other communities. We enjoyed the holiday display at Disneyland for their birthdays. We also went to Wakefield Court in Santa Clarita, CA to view their ever amazing and free holiday light display. You can either drive through or walk. We chose to walk as a family like we did two years ago. The display is truly magical. I am amazed by the talent of the families who live on this street.

The Sugar Snaps loved the incredible displays full of colorful characters.

This display included everything from the Elf on the Shelf to R2-D2 from Star Wars.

The houses follow the story of ‘Twas the Night Before Christmas with these cute signs you can read aloud to your children as you walk along.

One home had this beautiful elf cottage in their yard close to the sidewalk which was drew tons of families with children doing ‘photo ops’ sitting in the front on the ‘snow.’

Here is a video of one house that was beyond amazing. It was like a whole holiday set that completely transformed the home. It was a challenge to shoot this video as this house drew the biggest crowd.

If you live in Southern California and have never been to the Wakefield Court Holiday Light Display, I highly recommend it. This is a neighborhood that really goes all out and has tremendous community spirit. Did you go see holiday lights this year? Did you put some up on your home? I’d love to hear from you. I love Christmas lights. I'm like a kid in a candy store. Though sadly we haven't gone to see any this year . Mostly because I've been working quite late and it's been raining almost every other night. There is a street about 20 mins away from us that puts on amazing displays. What makes it even more interesting even it wasn't only Christmas lights there was lights for Hanukkah- love it!!!

I hope you get a little time off from these late nights working. That sounds exhausting! I love holiday lights too. I hope the display near you stays up a little longer so you can go see it this year (and you have clear weather).

I am a Christmas light fanatic, but sadly live many hundreds of miles from this community. Thank you for the video and fabulous pictures. Maybe next year I can talk my husband into a road trip to this community. 🙂 Thanks for the post.

I am sure there are probably fabulous displays closer to your home too. But, if you come to Southern CA for Disneyland or other attractions you can check out the lights to while you are here. We really enjoyed HGTV's show on holiday lights (Light wars?). If you didn't see it, I imagine you would love it. They had all these families with amazing displays competing for a prize.
