We were excited to attend our niece, Emma’s, 6th birthday party which had a reptile theme. My sister-in-law, Leanne and brother-in-law, Eric did a great job with the party. Leanne came up with cute centerpieces and themed foods and they hired a company to come in with reptiles in all shapes and sizes as well as some non-reptiles (such as a bird, chinchilla and tarantula). The children had the opportunity to interact with all the creatures, big and small.
This Macaw tried to upstage the reptiles with his beauty.
Our niece, Katherine was not sure what to think about all those reptiles!
Our kids preferred the safety barrier of the table and Daddy when viewing the iguana.
Emma braved a tarantula on her head, with no problem at all!
Xayden really enjoyed the cupcakes and may have worn as much as he ate.
There were so many wonderful details that made this party memorable and a lot of fun!
I love the idea of exposing children to snakes, lizards and tarantulas when they are little so they are not afraid. Our kids are only 3, so they stayed back when most of the animals came out. They did brave some lizards and the big tortoise though. They had a lot of fun attending Emma’s party because they really look up to their older cousin. What themes have you had for our children’s birthday parties? Have you attended parties for family or friends that had fun themes? I’d love to hear about them. Comments are always welcome.
Happy birthday to Emma! Wow, she was far braver with that tarantula than I would have been! ; ) We are looking forward to a movie madness themed birthday party for my oldest next week!
Thank you Sybil.
I was impressed by her bravery with the tarantula too. I don't think I would have been that calm either! Happy birthday to your daughter. Movie Madness is a fun theme. Have a wonderful time!
